LaurenWhalen is from Hopewell, VA and received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech. After obtaining her Bachelor’s of Science she attended Virginia Commonwealth University and received a Master’s of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling. Lauren has held multiple positions working with individuals with disabilities since 2010 including Assistant Group Home Manager, Outpatient Mental Health Counselor, and Intensive In Home Therapist. Lauren moved to Detroit Metro Area in Michigan with her husband in 2014 where she began her career in ABA and attended Western Michigan University where she received her Master’s in Behavior Analysis. Lauren defended her Master’s degree with her applied project, “Effects of an Observational Learning Game on Acquisition of Novel Responses of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.” During Lauren‘s practicum experience she enjoyed the focus of developing and implementing center based group learning programs. Lauren has experience working in early intervention, and also with adolescents and teens.
Lauren lives in Midlothian, VA with her husband, TJ, and their two Aussie/Labs.
